As environmental destruction begins to seriously affect humans, it has become increasingly relevant to reflect on the essential elements of the Jewish and Christian theologies of creation. The essays in this volume explore key aspects of creation theology, which poses the question of the origin of the world and of man. Creation theology is rooted in the concept of man who owes his existence to God and who is placed in a cosmos which God created as good . At the same time, the essays show that even back in antiquity, the creation discussion held high potential for ideological criticism."

This book deals with some of the fundamental questions of mankind: How we think, where we come from and where are we going? Is there an extra-sensory component, what is the meaning of our existence and what comes after death? Is there such a thing as an inner knowing? In addition, the work also refers to the existence itself: How might to be the creation? What about the creation theories and the evolution. Are there parallel worlds? What is energy, the role of electromagnetism, the elementary particles and their interactions? Is there a dark energy, and if so, what might it be like? To this question an interesting alternative hypothesis, such as dark matter could act. What about the behavior of time and probability, cause and effect, space and reality? Within the work, the science, philosophy, theology, religion and esoteric will be viewed from different perspectives. A further objective is not only to raise questions, whenever it is possible it should be also offered a suitable explanation. The various findings and ideas must not necessarily exclusive each other, but they can also usefully complement each other as well. To give the discourse a starting idea there is introduced a numerous of relevant statements from the esoteric ideas, including from the Seth material.

Creation And Christology

Since previous scholarship has searched for figures equivalent to the personified Logos in the Johannine Prologue, scholars have often ignored the context of which the Genesis creation account is the center. Masanobu Endo examines that reference to the Genesis creation account as it appears in contexts where the unique identity of God is maintained. In eschatological contexts the realization of eschatological salvation is strongly expected on the grounds of the sovereignty of God, which is known in his work of creation. This observation of the theological function of the Genesis creation account in the Second Temple period may shed light on the question of why reference is made to the Genesis creation account in the Johannine prologue. What this means is that the descriptions of the identity of the Word (the Son) in the Johannine prologue were made on the grounds of Jewish monotheistic speculation about the identity of God the Creator.

In this brief and straightforward examination of Christians' basic beliefs, Albert M. Wolters spells out the structure of a reformational worldview and its significance for those who seek to follow the Scriptures. Wolters begins by defining the nature and scope of a worldview, distinguishing it from philosophy or theology, and noting that the Christian community has advanced a variety of worldviews. He then outlines a Reformed analysis of the three fundamental turning points in human history — Creation, the Fall, and Redemption — concluding that while the Fall might reach into every corner of the world, Christians are called to participate in Christ's redemption of all creation.

Understanding the origins of new businesses — the firm creation process—has been dramatically affected by the development of longitudinal studies of business start-ups. Several projects have been implemented to track the development of new firms, from the emergence of a business idea and organization of a start-up team through the birth of an operational business. The U.S. projects (the first and second Panel Studies of Entrepreneurial Dynamics, known as PSED I and II) have counterparts in a number of other countries: Australia, Canada, China, Latvia, Netherlands (two projects), Norway, and Sweden. These eleven projects in nine countries, implemented over the past decade, are at different stages of development and have been utilized for a wide range of assessments of entrepreneurial and business creation phenomena. This volume presents the state of the art of these international research projects, providing the first in-depth comparison of the firm creation data across a wide range of national contexts. The work will be of great interest to the research community, particularly those developing such projects in their own countries, as well as policy makers and scholars interested in the effect of national context on the business creation process.
