"Eine atemberaubende neue epische Fantasy-Serie. Morgan Rice hat es wieder einmal geschafft! Diese magische Saga erinnert an das Beste von J.K. Rowling, George R.R. Martin, Rick Riordan, Christopher Paolini und J.R.R. Tolkien. Ich konnte es nicht aus der Hand legen!" --Allegra Skye, Bestseller-Autor von SAVED In KAMPF DER EHRE (Band 4 im Ring der Zauberei) ist Thor als abgehärteter Krieger von den Hundert zurückgekehrt und muss nun lernen, was es bedeutet, für seine Heimat in die Schlacht zu ziehen, auf Leben und Tod zu kämpfen. Die McClouds sind auf einem Raubzug tief in MacGil-Revier vorgedrungen—tiefer als je zuvor in der Geschichte des Rings—und während Thor in einen Hinterhalt reitet, wird es auf ihm lasten, den Angriff abzuwehren und Königshof zu retten. Godfrey ist von seinem Bruder mit einem äußerst seltenen und starken Gift vergiftet worden, und sein Schicksal liegt in Gwendolyns Händen, die alles in ihrer Macht tut, um ihren Bruder vor dem Tod zu retten. Gareth verfällt immer tiefer in einen Zustand von Verfolgungswahn und Unzufriedenheit, und er heuert seinen eigenen Stamm von Wilden als persönlichen Kampftrupp an. Er überlässt ihnen die Silberhalle—setzt so die Silbernen vor die Tür und schafft eine Kluft in Königshof, die in einen Bürgerkrieg auszubrechen droht. Er plant auch, Gwendolyn von den wilden Nevarunen holen zu lassen und sie ohne ihre Zustimmung in eine Ehe zu verkaufen. Thors Freundschaften verfestigen sich, während sie an neue Orte reisen, unerwarteten Ungeheuern entgegentreten und Seite an Seite in unvorstellbaren Schlachten kämpfen. Thor reist in sein Heimatdorf und, in einer epischen Konfrontation mit seinem Vater, erfährt ein großes Geheimnis über seine Vergangenheit, darüber, wer er ist, wer seine Mutter ist—und was sein Schicksal ist. Mit dem fortgeschrittensten Training, das er je von Argon erhalten hat, beginnt er, Kräfte anzuzapfen, von denen er nicht wusste, dass er über sie verfügte, und Tag für Tag mächtiger zu werden. Während seine Beziehung zu Gwen sich vertieft, kehrt er nach Königshof zurück in der Hoffnung, um ihre Hand anzuhalten—doch es ist womöglich schon zu spät. Andronicus, mit einem Informanten ausgestattet, führt seine Millionen starke imperiale Armee in einem weiteren Versuch, den Canyon zu überwinden und den Ring zu zerschlagen. Und gerade, als es aussieht, als könnte es in Königshof nicht mehr schlimmer kommen, endet die Geschichte mit einer schockierenden Wendung. Wird Godfrey überleben? Wird Gareth gestürzt? Wird Königshof entzwei gespalten? Wird das Imperium eindringen? Wird Gwendolyn mit Thor zusammenkommen? Und wird Thor endlich das Geheimnis seines Schicksals lüften? Mit seinen fein ausgearbeiteten Welten und Charakteren ist KAMPF DER EHRE eine epische Saga von Freundschaft und Liebe, von Rivalen und Verehrern, von Rittern und Drachen, von Intrigen und politischen Machenschaften, vom Erwachsenwerden, von gebrochenen Herzen, von Täuschung, Ehrgeiz und Verrat. Es ist eine Geschichte von Ehre und Mut, von Schicksal und Bestimmung, von Zauberei. Es ist eine Phantasiegeschichte, die uns in eine Welt entführt, die wir nie vergessen werden, und die Leser jeden Alters und Geschlechts begeistern wird. Mit 85.000 Wörtern ist es das längste Buch in dieser Serie! „Packte meine Aufmerksamkeit von Anfang an und ließ nicht locker... diese Geschichte ist ein fantastisches Abenteuer, von Beginn an rasant und actionreich. Es ist kein langweiliger Moment zu finden.“ --Paranormal Romance Guild {über Turned- Verwandelt} „Vollgepackt mit Action, Romantik, Abenteuer und Spannung. Lasst es euch nicht entgehen, und verliebt euch ganz von Neuem.“ --vampirebooksite.com (über Turned - Verwandelt) „Eine tolle Geschichte, und vor allem die Art von Buch, die man nachts nicht weglegen kann. Das Ende war ein Cliffhanger, der so spektakulär war, dass man sofort das nächste Buch kaufen möchte, nur um herauszufinden, wie es weitergeht.“ --The Dallas Examiner {über Loved - Geliebt}

From USA TODAY Bestselling author Michael James Ploof. Before Dirk Blackthorn became known as one of the deadliest assassins in the four kingdoms, he spent his childhood as a street urchin, fighting for survival in the shadowy streets and back alleys of Agora’s toughest cities. For ten long years young Dirk has followed his drunken father from one city to another, always having to cheat and steal for his next meal, and never knowing what the future might hold. A magician turned con artist, Dirk’s father Thad has taught him everything he knows. After being driven out of just about every southern city, they have come to Kell-Torey in search of a new beginning. With winter on its way, and all but a rusty coin spent on his father’s drinking, Dirk must make full use of his skills if they are to survive the harsh northern cold. As Thad descends deeper into his drunken delirium, Dirk becomes determined to make a name for himself in the city’s criminal underworld. After a run-in with a group of local hooligans, Dirk learns of a notorious master thief called Akleous Aaronson, whose incredible feats seem to be nothing more than myth and legend. Still, Dirk is intrigued, and begins to search out the mysterious man. If he can somehow find the master thief and join his notorious crew, Dirk just might be able to find some semblance of a normal life, and save his father from the unforgiving streets. Far across the Great Sea, the daughter of the dark elf Eadon stands upon the threshold of discovery. Krentz has always known that she was different from other dark elves. When she learns of a portal in the catacombs of her father’s palace, she cannot resist the lure of freedom, and ventures through it, to the fabled land of Agora. But one does not so easily betray the father of the dark elves. Stripped of her weapons and energy crystals, Krentz must somehow thwart her powerful pursuers as she maneuvers through the strange new land. Prophetic dreams haunt her, and she soon begins to doubt her bold decision to leave her homeland. After a bloody encounter with her father’s vicious draggard which leaves many humans dead, Krentz begins to believe that she is doomed to live the lonely life of a cursed runaway. After barely escaping the draggard, Krentz sets out in search of the only thing that might turn the tide in her struggle—an elven energy crystal. What she discovers along the way will shape her in ways that she never imagined, and lead her to wonders that she had never thought possible. Destined for love, doomed by fate, Dirk and Krentz must fight for a place in an ever changing and often hostile world of magic, deception, and danger. Featuring two of Legends of Agora’s most beloved characters, Blackthorn Rising is a fast-paced coming of age tale wrought with sword and sorcery, it is a story of failure and triumph, and a testament to the unrelenting spirit of defiance and adventure within us all.

A new series from the USA TODAY Bestselling author of Whill of Agora. In his first week as a wizard, Orion Rezner faces demons, witches, possessed mothers, and road warriors. Thank god beer survived the Apocalypse. Seven years have passed since the Culling of 2033 which killed most of the world's population. Vampires, werewolves, and demons have begun to emerge from the shadows, and they are hungry. Boston, one of the last vestiges of humanity, is protected by a spell shield created by the Wizard Council. The shield is the only thing keeping the city safe. Having studied the Craft for two years at Harvard Witchcraft and Wizardry, Orion Rezner embarks on his final rite of passage. But his first mission outside the city walls forces him to make choices he wasn’t prepared for. Narrowly avoiding possession by an ancient demon, he learns of a plot to destroy the spell shield and expose its survivors to the horrors outside. Suspected by the wizard council of having been compromised by the encounter, Orion is unable to convince them of the danger. With the help of his closest friends, Orion sets out on a desperate quest to thwart the demon's plan any way he can. Following is the official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Afterworld" by Michael James Ploof. Afterworld: The Orion Rezner Chronicles, Book 1, by Michael James Ploof, is a Science Fiction novel which takes place in a post-Apocalyptic world. The populace has been severely diminished by a deadly virus, and life as the world knew it has changed. Ploof does a great job of bringing the characters to life for his audience. This book is an action packed novel full of popular characters such as Wizards, Witches, Demons, Sub/Super-humans, and other beings. It is evident the author’s target audience are young adults whom I believe will certainly identify with his style of writing. Ploof’s imagination takes the reader along for a very adventurous ride. His cast of characters are colorful and all possess their own individual quirks (e.g. the main character, a wacky apprentice Wizard, has a sidekick chimpanzee named Dude, and the ghost of Benjamin Franklin follows him around). Everyone lends a healthy dose of comic relief to this story. In addition to the laughs, and nail biting suspense, heroism reigns supreme here. It is evident in this story the author enjoys and believes in what he writes. The author employs a strong use of Hyperbole (e.g. “For the two years of my apprenticeship he was colder than a Russian winter and less forgiving than a cheap vodka hangover.”). I found these phrases thoroughly entertaining. In addition, they helped keep the storyline light and endeared you to the characters even more. Ploofs’s humor and wit are refreshing. Afterworld takes the reader on a rollercoaster ride of emotion (fear, joy, horror, hope, etc.). Ploof’s cast of youthful heroes and heroines are lovable and quick witted. I found myself rooting for the heroes and heckling the villainous monsters. You will find these characters are people you can identify with. Granted, this is a fictional story, but I still felt a kinship to the main characters and their noble sense of right and wrong. Science Fiction is one of my favorite genres. I feel the author has a great feel for it, and is certainly gearing up to be a force in this field. I rated this book 4 out of 4 stars. Even though I think the author’s target audience is a younger generation than I, it was still an enjoyable read for me. The story has its fair share of fun, surprise twists and humor. I thoroughly enjoyed Benjamin Franklin’s quotes throughout the book. Ploof’s use of the inventor’s quotes lend strength to Afterworld’s humor in its timing. After reading this book, I would gladly add this author to my list of must read Science Fiction/ Fantasy literature in the future.

Murland Kadabra has always dreamed of becoming a great wizard. However, at age 19, the young apprentice has yet to successfully cast a single spell. He has been reduced to grounds keeper of Abra Tower, and has become the laughing stock of the wizarding school. But when the Most High Wizard Kazimir chooses him to be one of the five Champions of the Dragon, Murland’s life changes forever. He soon finds himself traveling through the wilds with four unlikely companions, including an alcoholic knight, a gay elf prince, a dwarf with humanism, and an obese ogre. Prophecy dictates that these champions must march west to the shadowy peak of Bad Mountain, where they are destined to do battle with the dreaded dragon of legend, Drak’Noir. But what few people know, is that the prophecy is not altogether true. For it is not five champions who Kazimir chooses, but five fools. They are not meant to defeat the dragon, but to feed her. To change their fate, the Champions of the Dragon must not only overcome their enemies, but also themselves. Champions of the Dragon, Book 1 of Epic Fallacy, is a satirical high-adventure romp through the Fantasy genre in the tradition of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series. These include Rhunis the Dragon Slayer, the young Tarren, the fearless Dwarf Roakore, the beguiling warrior Elf Avriel, and the powerful Zerafin.
